New f-250 6.9 owner

Howdy all! Just pulled a 1989 F-250 4wd single cab off a farm in central Minnesota. Previous owner swapped the 7.3 out and a 6.9 in. Working on getting it roadworthy for the winter I hope.

Bought it not running, but the price seemed fair. Thanks for a great forum! Will be posting some questions I am sure.

Welcome, and congrats! From what I've read the 6.9 gets better mpg so cool points for that

Welcome, I am new here as well. Curious to hear why it doesn't run. The glow plugs controller and relay run off of resistance. As the glow plugs heat. Resistance increases until the controller breaks the circuit. If it has a few bad glow plugs the resistance is too high and the controller ( Waite to start light) will only stay lit for a few seconds. Should be 8-10 seconds. There is an easy override option for the controller that alot of guys have done here. Good luck.
