do you have a carquest near you. that is where i got mine yesterday. autozone and those different stores should have one. i know ford has discontinued things for these truck but i can't believe they would do that to a sensor. not that i am doubting what you are saying.

I have a junk yard 10 miles from me that as of a couple months ago had a whole corner of IDI's. i actually got parts off of one for my truck.

do you know what would be the cheapest way to ship one via USPS?

Well its a fairly small part I think the smallest usps flat rate box would be plenty big im just worried it will ruin my new transmission because of the inconsistent voltage on the sensor

I have sitting on one of my spare pumps. If he can't find one PM me. I'll pull it off and get it on the way.

Do not run the engine without the tps set properly. You will ruin the trans. The trans will be in the "limp home mode" and the shifts will be hard and painful. That neck breaking slap kills the trans. The design on this mode is to get you off the road quickly and safely. But driving it is not what you want to be doing. I too have been looking for the same part just to have a spare. I found plenty of them when I didn't want one... Now I can't find any... Go figure... I even looked at the mercs and linclons but no deal....
