Need help asap .

I'm at the parts store and they are all retards !

I'm looking for a spin on trans filter , but I need it to have a fuel filter size thread . I have a spair fuel filter head that had a bf1205 filter on it , which is a fuel filter . I'm trying to use this head bit can't find an OIL filter that will thread on . Can I just use a diesel fuel filter without a water separator ? Or will the atf eat it ?
Any help would be AWESOME !

Id only use a oil filter because you need a filter with a bypass valve in it. Should the filter plug or get too restrictive you would cut off flow to your transmission and that would be disastrous. This is where the bypass valve would come into play letting fluid continue to pass through.

filter bases to take a ford gasser filter are cheap and everywhere, I have , umm like 6 of them off of vw stuff. napa makes one but they really like it, hit some vw shops,

Here ya go. Takes the standard Motorcraft FL1A filter or any other 3/4-16 threaded oil filter.

I can't even track down a filter base locally .. The parts store guys looked at me and said " What? what do you mean? " when I asked if they carried a remote mount oil filter kit. I'm going to order the one listed above .
