Am I the only one that was ready to start a fight over that title?LOL

"What do you mean, an IDI can't live longer than 400K?":backoff

"Oh, what's that? The cluster gauges in an old ford won't read right? Carry on..."

Mine just turns into a brand new zero mile truck every 100,000 miles.

I'll have to go over 1000000km before that happens on mine. It's almost half way there at the moment but I hardly use my truck on the highway anymore so it's been slow going over the last few years.

Toyota was FAR worse in the early 2000s. They made the Toyota Matrix/Pontiac Vibe digital odometer stop at 199,999. The display is capable of showing 999,999 but the software hard stops at 199,999. So for those on the metric system, their odometer stops at what equates to 124,273.6 miles. Yes, Toyota made an odometer stop below what equates to under 125k miles. That's worse than the old 5 digit mechanical odometers that roll over! At least you can take a sharpie and write in the box every time it rolls over or something to remind yourself of the true reading.

Speaking out of the question on this of not seeing 400k on the Odometer. Would anyone know the easiest way to change the odometer reading. A friends odometer digital display quit working and I have another one handy to swap out, but need to update EPROM with correct mileage.
