The Mason-Dixon TDC would like to welcome all member here to our annual Spring Dyno Event/BBQ.This years event will be a 2 day event so we can try and get everyone who desires to dyno onto the "Humbler" and shake off their winter cobwebs. So Here is the info of what, where and when...

What-"2008 Spring Fling-Age Wrinkles The Body,Quitting Wrinkles The Soul"...

Where..SGS Performance
901 Range End Road
Dillsburg,PA 17019
(717)-502-0880
http://sgsperformance.com/index.htm

Cost...$70 for 3 spins with HP/TQ readings

When...Saturday May 17th & Sunday May 18th

The only rules we will have is stack owners will have to drop their flex pipes or allow us to slide the exhaust tubes down over the stacks and dually owners must remove the outside wheels to help keep the show rolling. Also for the dually owners if you would prefer to dyno with a set of 2500 wheels(singles) some of the guys may be able to bring their extras for you to borrow.Tools will be provided to help and other members will be able to help you if needed. Those who desire to do some BOMBing work may use the shop, but, please all we ask is you clean up after yourself and then dyno during the weekends event at some time.We also would like those who attend to please place their trash into the trash bins and not leave it lay all over the upper field. Also we would like those in attendance to not deliberately tear up the grassy field which happened last year at Fall Brawl.

There will be no classes as this is a bragging rights, stick your chest out, outlaw style roll. This means all is fair in love and war,you come in,strap up, let the numbers fly and may the best man or woman,Ford-Dodge or Chevy be the top dog.So who can or will lay the smack down and go home with bragging rights, time will tell. This is also a qualifying event for the Fall Brawl Torque Challenge and we will be taking the best numbers from each of the following classes and entering them into the challenge,High HP Ford,1st Generation Modified,Modified,Competition and Unlimited. Those who are already in the Torque Challenge by virtue of their respective Fall Brawl class wins are...Dave Goodwin,Steve Bohatch,Tim Barber,Lloyd Mills and Travis Alderer.Post up people and let us all know if your coming and what you wish to bring to the covered dish BBQ.

Looks like the weather may be a tad questionable for the weekends festivities. So I will ask that everyone please be considerate when entering and leaving the grassy hill as it will be soft.

Also,
If it does rain this shows will happen anyway and we will dyno until finished. However,if it does rain we will ask that those owners who dyno please run the trucks down the road and back to ensure some of the mud is removed from the tire treads. We have done this before and it worked out well and we appreciate the co-operation from everyone.

IF your going to be using the shop for work we also ask that you dyno sometime during the weekend as its the least you can do.Remeber to please bring something along to be cooked or eat and/or some drinks,as we have some left from the fall but not near enough to feed a big crowd.

Look forward to seeing everyone again and lets all hope for good weather.......Andy

We also will be running a bracket style shootout for those who dyno on each day.Its a contest to see how well you know your own truck, the added cost will be $1 with the winner taking it all. When its your turn to dyno simply write down on your T-time card what you think your truck will make for HP and pay the man in the dyno bay the extra dollar. The owner who is the closest to his HP guess will win the added pot.In case more than one owner end up in a tie,the purse that is gathered will be split between them all.YOU MUST BE PRESENT to collect your winnings at the end of each day.Separate events will be held for both days and all owners are eligible each day if they dyno on each day and pay the fee...........Andy

Well what can a person say after a weekend like we had.It just keeps getting better with each year and thats due to the fine people who come out and enjoy the show. There were plenty new faces seen and alot of old friends also there working on shaking off the Winter cobwebs.Saturday was absolutely gorgeous as the rain steered North and West of us.Events all over locally were washed out and yet we rolled on.The group who wanted to go sled pulling later was a tad disappointed but they stayed and spent the time with us and had a blast.

Many thanks from us all go to the fine people at SGS Performance for allowing us to use their fine facilities for our show.Once again they trudged on and keep the pace going and it made for a good time for all.On Sunday when the rains came and dampened things a bit, they still rolled on and kept the show moving with no issues at all. They also deserve a BIG thanks for allowing us to use their shop for some guys to get work done. Thanks alot gang from all of us at the M-D TDC for the fine weekend.

Lloyd Mills and Dave Goodwin deserve a big thank you for the work on the trucks they performed all weekend long.BOTH guys spent most all weekend tuning and helping others so they could make some last minute tuning to their respective rides for dyno rolls. At one point both were seen with only their legs showing from under hoods and those trucks they worked on made gains to make their owners smile.

Our resident cook,Chef Pappy worked his tail off all weekend long wheeling the clubs big grill.I know he had plenty of help and for the life of me I do not remember all of them so not to miss anyone I will say we ALL appreciate their help with lunch both days. Then on Sunday they went above and beyond and wheeled the grill right through the rain, which at times looked like a monsoon, and keep those in attendance fed. Thanks to all of the cooks for the help.

We were not without out some wounded trucks this weekend though.Rams-N-Hogs(aka-Pappy) provided those who were broke help and a lift home. One gentleman lost a valve on a CR Dually during a test ride and TimeBomb's 12ver lost the clutch hydraulics on the way and didn't make it.Pappy used his trailer and made sure those who were less fortunate made it home.He is a class act and again he showed all of why,THANKS JIM!!!!!!!.

I received many thanks this weekend for the shows but keep telling everyone its not me who makes the shows what they are,its those who come and enjoy them. For that I thank those who keep coming out to spend time with us.Before you know it the annual fall show will be upon us and the date has been set and it will be posted very soon.See You all at the next gathering......Andy
