wonder what goes on in the valvetrain and motor combustion? why does valve float sound like a sewing machine? I stumbled across a few youtube videos that help illustrate the point.

Very interesting all of them. I sure would like to see a NASCAR engine where they run them up to 9000 RPM. They must have some really strong springs in them. I can see why some blow up.

Very cool! It looks just like I imagined it, but the slo-mo camera stuff is really great. You can really see what's going on in there, and I'm sure if more people had access to this kind of evidence for specific engines, we would have better stuff! I loved the timing advance on that last one. The spark lasts longer than I thought it would.

when I did my diesel I made sure I had a set of new springs with more pressure than OEM, I actually found a set of new springs on a set of OEM
351W heads that worked for the 7.3
Our engines have less than .400 lift so spring selection is not to tough but necessary to get good results.
My springs have about 110lbs on the seat and about 250lbs open, I cant remember what the OEM 6.9/7.3 engines came with for pressure but it is alot less pressure.
Soon I will be able to put my truck on a wheel dyno and see what the combo makes

It does run great get6s 20+ mpg city and makes power to 3800 rpm

Valve springs can make the difference in an engine that makes power to redline or it can make no power up to redline

actually,I think the camera is in real time just strobe lighted.If you watch the oil drops around it they behave strange to be slow mo.Gotta love camera trickery.
