Here are the pics of Robert's pistons and rods. The pistons were cryo treated and coated and the rods were cryoed as well.

Hey all,

here is the update so far. I now own an AWESOME R & D IDI Intake.. Thanks Justin. Called and talked with Mike over at Harland Sharp. He is sending Steve at Valley Balancing a prototype Roller Rocker.. I will have pictures when they come in.. I also posted a question about a harmonic balance. I would like to find a new one for this build. If anyone knows of one please let me know. My old one was coming apart.

The Pistons are a direct replacement to Mahle. I spent weeks going between Mahle and Seal Powers Tech's and I picked Seal Power. Mahle did not offer the coating on the sides. I sent the pistons out to be cryo and then sent then to have the tops coated as well. I don't see any issue with these pistons.

The freeze plug are being tapped and plugged to insure they don't plow out like standard Plug can, and yes this does happen and many know of this. I will have pictures once it is completed. I am right now waiting on a new damper. I will have a list of all parts used after I complete the build. Some parts I purchase are custom made with no part numbers, however I list all sources.

The rockers I just posted to my blog are not even available. they are a prototype from Harland Sharp. I am working with Mike to finalize the design and then they will make me a set.

I'm actually in the works of a 7.3l build right now I have the ip and injectors at conastoga diesel and the turbo for a freshening. And just trying to finalize a final bass engine for that to go on. Iv been tossed between the mahle n sealed power for about 4 weeks n I think you just made my decision for me. Iv been looking for the info on the total seal rings but can't find anything on them that's why I ask for part #. I'm going to be delivering the heads to the machine shop on Saturday so I'm trying to finalize all things by then. I know the 910-16 springs on them and a bit of di-grinder to the ports will be a big help. As for the intake I think I can do the same job with the tig welder that is out there for a little less than what they want. Not shore what cam I'm going with I still have to talk to Mel about that?

There is no part number for Total Seal,

when you get your ring set, you send your 2nd rings to them and they make them.

I had to have my heads done all over again. That costed me 300.00 I didn't really need to spend. I am into it for 850 bucks now.

I don't have time to mess with making my own stuff, I could but my time is money and I don't mind helping other guys business grow. I surely understand the pride of saying I made this and the saving, I am self employed so if I am not working I am broke. I sent you a message with my number if you have any questions give me a call and I will tell what I know which is not much, other than what I am doing to my build.

I was just talking to Ford 88 about using O'rings around the cylinder and modifying the head gaskets. Not sure about this yet.
