Looked at a 6.0 today. Had a problem that seemed strange.

It was the turbo outlet. You could hear it under load and then I found it.

It's a nice truck and the price is fair.

They take an excursion and a 6.7 truck. Use the dash, firewall, engine, front sheet metal and front frame clip and graft it to the excursion body.

This one belongs to a guy I go to church with.. $60k with a 3 year warranty.

That is actually a common boot to split/blow. This is the one that goes to the CAC tube that kinda points at the hood, at an angle toward the passenger headlight.....

The real fun is when you are towing heavy, on the throttle with heavy boost, and instead of that boot splitting, like in your picture, but actually blows off and bangs the bottom of the hood. I know someone that was hauling a camper and that happened.... they almost needed to clean the seat..... LOL...... sounds almost like a gunshot.......

Not that Ex is SWEET!!!!!! Now put a 17 nose on there and that would be even more sweet.........

Same boot was split on our church's e-450 29 passenger bus. It's shaped a little different in a van chassis.

I recognized the sound immediately.

Yep, that's the first boot after the crankcase ventilation enters the cold air stream (same idea as the CDR on the IDI's). It gets oil soaked first.....

Thanks for all the advice.

I wasn't able to come to an agreeable price on this 04 model

I have worked a deal for this 08 model. 6.4 with 105k on it. Egr has been replaced apparently. Trans was rebuilt by ford at 50k.

Had it checked by my shop and they liked it. DPF will be coming off quick.

If I finish the deal on the 08, that will be the truck that makes the trip.

With 4 kids and 3 with breathing issues, the idi is just not an option. The air conditioner just can get the crew cab area cool enough for the babies. If the rally was in the winter....maybe.

Plus, have you ever sat in these new lariat seats....y'all, they are comfy.

Well, the 6.4 will be making the pull to Kentucky this summer.

I officially own it and so far, other than my mistake, it has been great.

So, when I I was getting off the interstate heading home with it, I decided to push the needle a little too far. Gauge said I still had 20 to empty....when I took the sharp turn and hard braking at exit 125, she stalled out. Took some cranking before it would start back too... oops.

Now I am looking for a good forum about 6.4s. This site doesn't have a section, and the sister site is pretty slow with traffic.
