I towed a 16 Ft trailer 2000 miles this weekend to haul my new dodge back its an 01 3500. In my 94 I started smelling something funny like electronics burning. :dunnoSo i pulled over and well my light switch became a molten chunk of plastic. So i managed to get lights on by wiring some other things together. It has trailer relays and has been pulling stuff for quite a while before i owned it. What to do? Has anyone else had this happen?

The Fords have a problem with melting plugs. If you look up Running Light Relay Modification. I think it will put you on the right track. It'll take a little load off of your headlight switch. You'll have to figure out how to make it work on your Dodge though.
