So I have two spring packs with 3 leafs in each pack, each spring in the pack is about 5/16" thick and they are tapered, theyre fattest where the pin goes through.

all together in the pack they are about 2 1/8" thick in the fattest taper part.

would I need to put all three underneath the front axle to achieve a 2" lift?

It's going to make it extremely still with 5 total leafs up front. (wonder if it might even hurt the suspension?)

I talked to a guy at our local truck shop he said just to put one spring under the front of the truck on each side and it should give me close to the 2" I'm after.

any help or opinions count.;Sweet

front axle is a dana 60 with 2 factory non arched springs on each side

theres more factors of just adding springs, like what kind of truck the spring pack came off of,but just to get 2'' of lift you wont need to add 5 more springs to your pack,it would ride like crap,or u bolts wont be long enough,i would add 1 or 2 and see what you get.

What are the 3 leaf packs out of. In theory you only need one axtra leaf to acheave 2" lift. That is all the add-a-leaf is for these trucks anyway. Stock front leafs are only 2 leafs per side

3/4" is thick for leafs!!! But as diesel brad said it depends on the arch unless the leafs you have now are sagging a lot.

they have a positive arch to them, my front leaf springs under my truck right now are in awesome shape, they dont have negative arch theyre just flat but the dana 60 springs are supposed to be, I'm going to cut these arched springs obviously before I put them in, I'm thinking putting two in only

Do a reverse shackle kit and you will get 2-3", and not affect your ride quality. I have the three pack leaf spring on the front of my truck and its not a bad ride but is alot smoother than the lift springs I used to have, and they were 5 pack. No give at all.
