Here is David85 FSV repair thread.

The market it flooded with China FSV`s in to $50+ range.
Made exactly as the OEM Factory Ford one`s.

There is also the ****** FSV, but with it, it is not plug and play.
You need to cut off the Fuel line quick couplers and connect
rubber fuel line to the Plastic line and FSV. Also the electric plug
will need to be cut off and a ****** plug wired in.

5 years or so back I installed the 38 Gallon rear tank, replaced both fuel senders, Shower heads and after market FSV.
After the first year the FSV got stuck between tanks, and the
return fuel went to the front tank, and eventually over flowed and
leaked on the ground...60 miles from home.

I grabbed 3 FSV`s from PNP to take apart to see what was inside
them and how they worked...
After much frustration, and if I did get one to work, what would
keep it from doing it again?
I finally ran the rear tank to the engine and return to the rear tank.
The front tank is now a transfer tank with an electric fuel pump to
transfer the fuel.

Over of FTE site Number Dummy a retired Ford Parts manager was
helpful as he had manuals from years back, and was very helpful in
his connections as to what dealers had the parts and or part #`s.
I think he has since passed away.
here is a post I copied where he said the FSV was a P O S from the start.

I have the 6 port selector valve E5S

TZ-9189-B / S does not belong, it's: E5TZ-9189-B
E5TZ-9189-B
= Marked with ID engineering number (# molded into plastic housing): E57F-9F271-BA or E67F-9F271-AA

MSRP: $319.85 (Yikes!) // FTE sponsor tousleyfordparts.com price: $211.10.

The prices have gone up considerably over the past 4 years: See post #11.

This valve is a POS and has been since day one!

And...because it's a POS, it's been a best seller for FoMoCo since day one!

We should be thankful that we can decide for ourselves how to spend our time.

Bob, thank you for taking the time to step on my post. Since you have time and a $100 lifetime warranted Ftsv from a local parts store, maybe you'ld consider disassembling it and measuring up the o-rings for me. No? OK then, move on.

Back to my original question, does anyone have the specs on the 3 sizes of o-ring in the Pollak/Ford FSV?

Thanks again,
Jim x 3

I have repaired my FSV after some delay. [I have an older friend who now lives in an assisted living facility. He has a small workbench in his closet but a dearth of projects. So I saved the rebuild for a time when he was free to help me.]

In disconnecting the fuel lines from the FSV, I did run into some difficulty. I assumed I might get fuel siphoning from the rear tank to the FSV location, so I was prepared to blow fuel back to the tank with a small compressor and blow gun. Stupidly I neglected to remove the filler cap. So while I did return fuel to the tank I also pressurized the tank. When I removed the blow gun you would not believe the anger and vehemence of that spray of fuel as that diesel returned to the open end of the fuel line!

FYI, for others who may decide to rebuild rather than replace, I ordered replacement O-rings from oringsandmore.com ($5.00 plus $6.95 shipping). Here are the sizes of the (10) o-rings needed:

FSV Body to Valve Holder Insert (does not move) Size 016
016VBN FKM Heat Resistant Brown
(2) per valve (supply and return), (4) total

Valve Actuation (to valve seat) Size 106
106VBN FKM Heat Resistant Brown
(2) per valve, (4) total

Valve Shaft to Valve Holder Insert Size 006
006VBN FKM Heat Resistant Brown
(1) per valve, (2) total

Also, 6-32 x 11/16" machine screws, washers, and nuts are a good size for the rivet replacements.

Regards,

Heck no. Not a chance. Just get a new one. Stop being cheap. They are available over the counter yet all over the place, eBay, Amazon, Napa ect.

I'll bet you won't make that mistake again!

I have been there before also, I was dealing with gasoline when I made that stupid mistake though. The entire front of me was covered, for anyone that hasn't experienced it I would recommend against it! Gasoline really burns on sensitivity skin!

Atleast diesel is just oily and damn near impossible to wash off.
