Just picked up a new truck

I picked this up yesterday for a $1000. It is a 1993 4x4, 5 speed, 7.3. I figured the Dana 60 alone was worth a grand. It was an old farm truck so it is really dirty and needs a through cleaning. The only real negative is that the tranny does not all ways want to go into reverse. I am hoping it will just be the bushings.

Nice find and the trans will be an easy fix... Just ask Towcat how its done. Why was the owner letting it go so cheaply...... And.... Getting a 4x4... crewcab... dually.... With a 5 speed.... Only one word comes to mind...... Steal....... You really must have been wearing a mask when you stole this rig.... Dirty or not... Just clean it up and see what it needs under the hood... Maybe a fuel system tune up in in order but drive it for a while... Then talk about the fuel system. You have typ4 russ near by for help and parts needed....

The guy that had the truck just wanted it gone. He used to own a construction company and is retiring and had no use for the truck. It has some bangs and scrapes outside, most of the interior door panels are cracked, the turn signal switch is out and it has an issue with the fuel tanks. It is not perfect but it will work fine for my needs. I will be changing all the fluids, fuel filter and then just drive it for now. The 89 extra cab I currently have will now become a backup rig. It was getting to be be a pain to put our baby girl in the extra cab.
