It's rumored that F450 &550 get pulled into scales and have many more DOT problems than F350's. What is your experience? What do you pull that needs the additional truck, and what does it give you?
I haul cars on a Peterbilt but know more than a few guys using 450's & 550's with 3 - 4 car wedge trailers behind them & they get alot of crap in the scales. More for IFTA , DOT #'s, & not running apportioned plates, but that leads to level 1 inspections whichs usually shows them to be over gross or over the axle rating for those trucks. Just what I've heard though.
