Jet Airplane

Hello All,
ok went out yesterday morning and started my truck and let it idle for about 10 minutes when i went to move it when it hit about 1500 RPM's it sounded like a jet airplane was taking off. The truck as never done this. it was about 31 degrees and not started in 3 or 4 days. when i say jet airplane i mean it was loud. anyone had this happen?

Totally normal. The EBPV closed based on engine oil temp and intake air temp.

Yeah, EBPV, makes it gutless also.

If it bothers you, you can disable it.disconnect the black connector bolted to the turbo under the air cleaner boot.won't hurt anything or set the cel.its only function is to force it to warm up and stay warm when idling for extended periods.

You should hear mine since it's been cold, sounds like a C130 taking off, setting there idleing, it'll speed up and sing like Kate Smith on a Hi C note.
