Jeep grand Wagoner with an iveco 5.9 looking for information please

I have the opportunity to trade my 1990 jeep xj for a jeep grand Wagoner with a iveco 5.9 diesel swapped in. Dont know anything about this diesel anyone have any information about them? Good engine? Was told by seller it has 100000 miles runs good and its a copy of the cummins.

I want to run it on waste oil like I do my idi ford bad idea or not?

I don't know anything about the Iveco 5.9L, but sounds like a fun conversion! If the conversion was done reasonably cleanly, I'd go for it
