Isspro tach R8503

So i have the above tach in my truck. I am missing the magnets that go on the crankshaft damper. My question is can i use any magnets or do i have to spend the 30 dollars for their magnets and epoxy stuff. Or can i get around using them or whatever tell me yalls opinion.

I have an Isspro tach (not sure the model) and mine was also missing the magnet on the crankshaft dampener. I went to Radio Shack and found some small magnets to use as a replacement. Problem fixed. I don't remember fastening the magnet with epoxy.

It's been a couple of years, so I don't remember if they were rare earth magnets or standard ones. Whatever I got, it's still there and working.

so you didnt have to glue them in place or anything. They have stayed in place this long? If so thats awesome.
