Is the GP relay on SS controller same as starter solenoid(fender mount)?

Basically that's what I need to know. Going to do some glow plug system work and the threads on the power feed(relay) are stripped. Going to put in a new harness and probably new relay. Does anyone have a diagram for both the 6.9 and 7.3 system? Either or both would help. Thanks,

Far as the solenoid being the same........they look like they are but im not sure on that one.

no they are different.

No the relays are different. A starter relay grounds through the base, the GP relay grounds through the terminal.

I would also suspect the GP relay is different internally since it is cycled somewhat longer.

I got my relay on ebay. It is not the same as the one on the fender well!

I doubt you can buy directly from that site, but any parts store that carries borg-warner should be able to get the parts. Also might try cross reference the part #s at NAPA or others.

I got a new relay coming. Hopefully that along with thew harness will help me get the trouble free start everytime that I'm wanting.
