Most guys opt to introduce themselves in the forum which they are going to spend most of their time in. It only makes sense. After all, if some newbie wants IDI info, they are going to come in there eventually anyway. Most folks there are too busy answering serious posts, to go wandering off looking for something unrelated to post about. No offense of couse. Your welcome to post and introduce yourself anywhere, but I'll be honest. If we had a "newbie here I am" forum, I doubt I would go there. I usually do a search for all new posts, which culls them out from all the forums, and then I see one like this, which is how I came to be posting in it. Now back to my regular forum....
