Hello,
Here in Europe we mostly like to use coolant ready from the factory instead of that you have it yourself to mix it.
Now I wonder, in vieuw of these SCA's is there a Ford Spec. wich includes these SCA's? and which spec would that be?
I also heard of these inspection strips, which A) are unknown where I am, B) if you buy them on internet in little quantity are almost always over the date.

So, If you buy the coolant, do you still need to inspect that with these strips? and if so, where to get a small quantity which are not overdue?

Thanks.

Look for the included sca ( lifetime) it's supposed to be permanent...

Bart, I use Napakool additive in Napa green coolant. I'll try to get you part numbers this evening. You might not be able to get that stuff over there, but reading the info on it might help you figure out what you're looking for.

As to the question of how to guarantee that the test strips will be "in date" -- I don't know if you can -- I don't think ordering from amazon will help --

Also, the test is very subjective. You've got about a minute to choose which color matches the color chart - concentration level. I've decided it's just a WAG on what is the actual SCA level. I don't have a PhD in choosing the right color.

A good article on flushing & refilling the 7.3 IDI is found here -- it helps some anyway :

Thanks lad's, @ mike, I didn't jet read your links, but in the past I read much about it for our engines. since the SCA's are a pretty unknown thing here in europe, (everybody I asked about, even autoparts store guys were not aware that such thing exists.)
Therefore I think that having the valid FORD spec helps me finding out which european cooling fluid to use (or so I thought?)
