install new injectors = get blue smoke and misfire?

Oops, last time I timed my truck, it was with it running. I had the bolts snugged up enough that it took effort to move the pump 1/32" tho.

Oops, last time I timed my truck, it was with it running. I had the bolts snugged up enough that it took effort to move the pump 1/32" tho.

When I took my truck in to get it timed, it was also timed while running.

The guy that timed it for me is a top notch retired diesel mechanic, so I trusted his technique on it. He moved it in very very very slight increments though. Did wonders for the smoke problem I had when I first bought my truck!
