Inline heater hose, heater

Hey Genlightning, Were you able to get any pics?

Here they are. Looks like it's a 600watt and fits a 1.5" hose, which is weird because on the Ford the hoses are bigger. Maybe that's why there were a couple of short pieces of smaller hose inside the larger hose? Kinda makes for a pretty big restriction. Anyway, I couldn't take any on the engine since I had already stripped it, but it was in the lower hose just before the connection to the block. You have to cut the hose and remove a section the same size as the heater and then clamp it in.

i believe--those were made by zero start--and if so--they were the snitz--durable--

I installed one of those kind of heaters in a Capri I had. It was made by Katz and burnt out after the first use.

Here is the one I have 1500 watts

I guess I just really need to know how to plumb it into the coolant. It says pull the drain plug and it has a fitting for that but where do I go from there?


EDIT:Ok I figured it out, I will splice the other end to the lower heater core hose, but how hard is it to remove the drain plug? never tried before.
