Injector Update

I went to my favorite injection pump repair shop about 8 miles from home today... I wanted parts for my delphi BB injector..... Nope... They don't have any parts or do they rebuild them... They did tell me the parts I wanted would cost around $80.00.... Yeah... Like I was going to buy those parts... So I ended up paying $35.00 for one Bb code delphi injector... I also bought 4 of the olives for the 5/16 fuel line from the filter to the injection pump... They cost me .67 cents each.... What a deal... Spare parts my friends.... spare parts.... They didn't have any injector shims either.... Don't really need any but sure wanted some. Early this morning I sat in the dentist chair for 2 1/2 hours.... I had two fillings in 2006 that cracked. Then decay got under them... No pain or anything. This was found about 2 weeks ago in a full mouth exray series... So mr dentist drills out both of them and breaks thru into the nerve on one side... So now he needs to do a root canal... Not very happy thinking maybe he needed to pay for something and I'm the one doing the payment.... The root canal took all of about 7 minutes... The rest of the time was drilling and filling one tooth that had a bad filling in... that he filled in 2006.... No warranty either.... Go figure... So I'm now really hurting with nothing but otc pain relievers hoping this will wear off by tomorrow... I hate tooth pain.... I really do.... I just don't like anyone in my mouth.... Find another opening and mess around in there but not my mouth.... Everything seems like its making me dizzy too.... Really sucks to know theres fun work to be done in the garagemahall....

well good news on the parts, bad news on the teeth though! Good luck with that luckily i have good teeth and have never had to have any work done on them.

Gary you're making my skin crawl with that dental work story. Sorry you had to deal with it. That's too bad about no shims and nozzles. I may have a talk with my local shop tomorrow and see what he says. He'll probably wonder what I'm up to. Well let us know what you come up with.

My dentist does fillings that lasts for decades.

I got a tooth pulled a couple years back and the doc gave me a script for some really good pain meds. I felt so good, I towed a couple more cars that day. Also, when I got home, the stuff on TV seemed more interesting than usual.

What you need is NY-Qwil. It will help you to sleep.

As for parts for the injectors...

Well that seems to be the nature of these beasts. Obviously they are out there since new injectors are never hard to find, but they just can't be had separately. I suspect with some dilligent research some one could locate a cross referenced nozzle on an international trading website, but what you get might be a gamble. Although what I have found is that chinese suppliers really have hard time saying no. The 750lb lithium battery in my electric car is proof of that.

I'm sure the could be found, it just depends on how much trouble you're willing to go through. (notice I didn't make a joke about pulling teeth).

HOLY CRAP!!!! Your fillings should have lasted way longer than 5 years!!!!

I'm no tooth fairy (Dentist), but I know enough that fillings have a much longer life than 5 years.

Hey Gary, if you'd like, let me know who your current dentist is and I can see if there's another one in your area that may be better. One of my new salesmen came from our Portland branch, so he'll have good info. Sometimes it's good that I see several dentists everyday!

I have 8 injectors that came out of my ford motor..want them to take apart??
