I have a similar problem. When the truck is cool (right after the high idle kicks off) it idles around 650, but after it warms up good it moves up to 800-850. I just assumed it was the new IP, and injectors.
My Moose pump will idle any place I want it to. If when you are trying to turn down the idle and it wont drop any. Look at the cold advance piston contact. That may be a reason the rpm wont drop when you turn down the idle. I maintin a gap between the cold advance piston and the throttle lever. Its only about 40 thousands but its a gap none the less. If yours is still touching when the engine is warmed up a 1/4 inch socket on the piston head will lower it setting easily.
