I am going through the fuel system on my 72 D200 and I have a few questions. Now I am addressing what I think is the selector that goes between my auxiliary and in cab tank. The block of wood bolted to the frame leads me to believe something has been changed. Can anyone tell me what is supposed to be there? From what I remember the selector does work but I may have to replace it. I got a lot of bad fuel out of the truck so far so I am guessing the whole fuel system has been effected my it. From what I can tell the wire that leads to the selector is stock. It has the stock wrapping around it. But about an inch before it connects there is a wire nut joining two pieces of wire. It looks like someone may have cut the stock connector when the new part was installed and just used a wire nut to run a connector that would fit. Is there a better choice out there or would just a generic one work. Or, do I have to have a specific type of selector valve? Any information would be very helpful.
