hypermax turbo ?

My brother just go a smoking deal on a 92 F250 4x4 supercab 7.3 5spd w a hypermax turbo for only 1k! But this is his first idi and i have never seen a turbo on an idi. But anyway. some one gerry rigged the down pipe to the turbo w some exhaust clamp and a coat hanger. Does anyone have a pick of the turbo to the DP clamp? Thanks in advance

Sounds kinda cheezy to me. I would be afraid of leaks. Get it right and it is a smokin deal. Just got my 89 for $800 [bad pump] I like older trucks. Like em even more when the price is right. Good luck

Well thats what i would expect a downpipe to a turbo SHOULD look like but this hypermax does not

It's probably a pulse turbo which uses a piston ring type seal and the downpipe mounting on the turbo bracket to hold it in place. I'll try to get some pics of mine in the morning
