I just put a break over on the balancer and turn it clockwise its not difficult.

A suitable 1/2"-drive deep socket (don't recall exact size), a short extension, and a big breaker bar - socket on balancer bolt, extension in socket, breaker bar on extension, turn clockwise (as you stare at the engine from in front of the truck). May have to jack the front end up in the air and do it from under the bumper, cause the fan really gets in the way of the breaker bar usually.
