Was having a problem with my alternato so I swapped it along with the voltage regulator and after all is said and done I fire up the truck and it's idling around 1200 rpm, never has idiled that high in the past. Thought on what the hell happend or what I might have screwed up? Thanks in advance!

Is it cold? The cold idle solenoid may be working now, when it was not in the past.

Or if it is not cold, may be shorted on. Try disconnecting it and see what happens to your idle.

Close too #1 glow plug and under the Alt. is a temp sensor that controls the Cold Hi idle solenoid, you may have moved that and made a connection that made your HI idle start working again. When the head temp reaches 120*, it will de-energize and the idle will go back to around 650-675 RPM.
