Help with ATS turbo kit

Hi i bought a used ats turbo kit off a guy and have been slowly getting everything together and the last thing i need is the different valve cover they used on the drivers side where the CDR is relocated any ideas on where to find one or buy a new one?

It would be easier to get the adapter for the timing gear cover for a banks system... But the IH versions of this engine mounted the cdr on the valve cover so that might work.

I may still have one that was modified for an 088 kit. My kit came with one but I had a factory turbo engine and used the cover off that.

im not sure what kit mine is but i would assume that it would work, do i just reuse the CDR i have now? and what would you want for it? thanks

It was a non wastegated kit, the factory CDR bolts to the air cleaner and the valve cover gets a hole in it and a rubber elbow and a hose to connect to it.
I'll have to go dig around and see if I still have it. If it's your original CDR, you are most likely due for a new one, that old diaphram is pretty well shot by now. You don't want it to start inhaling a belly full of oil with a turbo on there. If it's down there you can have it for the shipping

Most attempts to eliminate the CDR, other than a flat out slobber tube (road draft tube) have been problematic. There are certainly ways to get around this and maybe someone has figured it out, but personally a CDR if you are emissions conscious or a road draft tube of sufficient size if a few crankcase fumes aren't problematic for you and won't get you in trouble with the authorities seems pretty reasonable.

I found the thing down there, but the rubber elbow is pretty hard. It's not long for this earth. You are welcome to have that valve cover and all, but you might be cash ahead to save on that shipping considering what UPS gets these days and just take a holesaw to your present one and get a new CDR tube and grommet E8TZ-6A892-A , set it in the new hole and run a new hose to teh cDR mounted to the ATS air cleaner , or purchase one of the banks setups mentioned.
THe rubber on this thing is so dried out that it will leak terribly and before long chunks of rubber would be breaking off inside your engine

ok does ford even sell that part anymore? and how does the banks version work? and i looked at a factory turbocharged idi and the cdr mounts on the valve cover itself and then a tube to the intake is the aftermarket ats kit different?

Nope, its the same, and ford will give you a dumb look trying to get those parts.

cdr hose

dont mean to hijack this thread but I have a ats system and the hose keeps popping off the cdr valve it is swelled pretty good was thinking of using a wire tie to hold it on for now but does anyone know where I can buy that hose? was at ford today and the only thing they say is available now is the valve and the hose is different and thats not available anymore

Actually there's a few online places that still carry that tube and grommet for 8-10bucks I just googled teh part number and they popped up, but if you want that valve cover you are more than welcome to it.
I don't have any for relocating teh glow olug controller, On teh early 088 they didn't relocate the glow plug controller, they left it right where it was . THe kit came with a metal heat shield that bolted to teh manifold to isolate the wires and fuel return line from teh turbo heat. While not part of teh kit I added some fire sleeve to those lines for extra protection. I've not had any problems with them. If you need a couple of pics to see what it looks like I can take some
