ok so in the morning my glow plugs will come on and work like normal..then after the engine is semi warm they will not come on and the cylinders are not warm enough for the engine to start. I had to spray it just to get it to start..when i got the truck not that long ago i was told it had new glow plugs put in but who can you trust these days

Do you spray it often? This probably killed the glow plugs. I myself have a truck that I bought from someone and the only way to start it was spray the glow plugs "worked" when I got it now all 8 are bad. Did you do the test with a test light? connect the light to the + and touch the ends of the plugs if you get light the plug is still good. If the plugs are good then its a bad relay or controller.

I actually installed a controller shutoff relay in my truck, it runs off the cold-advance solenoid and only allows the controller to work when the engine is under 112F - once past that temperature the controller shuts off for good, just like the cold advance and the high idle, and it won't come on till the engine goes near cold again. 112F is pretty much lukewarm, not nice and hot by any means, and I have no problem firing off at that temperature with no plugs - your truck should do the same too, especially in the nice and hot weather y'all got down there... Is the behavior you described a regular thing that happens every day, or it was a one time deal and now controller is dead all the time?
it started happening yesterday but it just cranked a little longer..today after it warmed up it didnt want to start at all so i had to spray it for the first time..is there another reason to cause it to not start because it is plenty hot down here but it only doesnt start when the glow plugs dont turn on so thats y im thinking they are the problem or a relay or somethin..is there a way to hook it up to manually turn the glow plugs on with a switch
