HELP..85 6.9 how much oil?

Im at work (babysittin some contractors..) and I figured I'd go ahead and change the van oil...(they got a nice big catchpan here!!)...

I had been told 10-12...but I drain it out..and probably more like 6...checked it when I got fuel last and it was good...

how much is it SUPPOSED to have? Im gonna measure what I took out (and jug for later use as somethin else)...but can someone tell me how much is should be?

well I checked...1 gallon...thats IT..1 gallon was in my van...

but with 10 the oil gauge works now...

sad thing..in the last month I know I've put 4 quarts in it...I wonder if the oil filter was leakin...cus it was coated in oil (and power steering fluid cuz theres a leak)...and it was LOOSE!!

we'll see how it does...I'll keep a close eye on it...I imagine its/was leaking somewhere..

You are a lucky man! With my luck, the engine would have seized. Keep it full.

I use the Fl-1995 (PSD) filter and put in 3 gallons after the oil change. Puts it a little over full.

10 quarts with a filter change.
