Well its come upon that time when some fluids need to be changed. Such as the tranny, front end, rear end, transfer case, coolant. Anybody have easy step by step instructions to change these fluids?? Also what type of fluids do you recommend for each said area???

For a "technical" english class I was taking, we had to write out a set of instructions for something "simple". The idea was that a simple task, such as tying your shoes, can be very difficult to give actual instructions for and this assignment was supposed to demonstrate that. Anyways I had just swapped the gear oil on me rear diff so I decided to do that since I knew an english teacher would have no idea if I missed something. Anyways... check the attached file out. I converted it to TXT so some Word formatting is lost but this way you do not need Word.
Oh and I am not sure about all the wrench sizes... I MIGHT have just made up some of them instead of checking out what sizes I actually used. Similar with torque specs. Also it would be better to use a gasket+RTV and not just RTV.
As far as tranny... auto or stick?
front end... depends which one you have... should be similar to rear.
T-case... drain plug... drain and fill to fill plug level.
Coolant, unplug bottom radiator hose and allow to drain. This will be messy. You can flush the engine and rad with a garden hose.
What fluids... check your manual and make sure to add SCAs to coolant.
If you need more details than that you should really have somebody who knows what they are doing help you out because this is pretty basic, generic auto stuff and if you do not know the basics, you have a high propensity to royally screw up the simplest tasks.

Way down south
for the coolent read up in the tech section about cavitation and sca's. the drain is at the bottom of the rad drivers side. front end do you have a 250 or 350? rear end if its a 10.25 SRW pull off the cover use black rtv sealent no gasket and fill with gear oil 80w-90 is good if you want a synthetic its ok to use. take about 3qts. the fill plug is on the dirvers side of the pinion its a plug that a 1/2 socket fits in. make sure you can get the fill loose before draining. transfer case has the same socket npt plugs in it it takes atf im not sure how much. what tranny do you have if zf5 has the drain at the bottom and fill in the drivers side about half way up take a little under 4qts of synthetic atf.
