fuel leak......

With the tranny out I have noticed some damp fuel near the back of the eng......area around the filter is dry....
SO....poss lift pump, or what appears to be a "banjo" style fitting at the rear of the pump.

Look at it this way, ya never would have noticed it if not for the clutch going out

could be either-george--when clutch back together--may have to use flashlight and mirror to pinpoint area of leak---on mine the fuel pump diaphragm died--and thought it was something in the injectors---so check minor things first--

Check those ******* plugs on the back of the head. Nows a good time.

Found it!
The stinkin' "vacume switch" on the fuel reg.......don't need it so out went the switch and in went a 1/8" brass plug with liquid teflon sealant....just snug

That switch is a "tattletale"......measures fuel restriction and lights idiot light when filter is plugged/dirty.

I use good fuel and LOTS of it and change the filter twice a year
