A while back I saw a posting on how to bypass the fuel heater. It had pics and what size plug to use etc. I need to do this to mine. Can anybody post that here or tell me where to find it. Thanks in advance everyone. It's for a 7.3

To remove the fuel heater element out of the filter head, tap the hole, and put a pipe plug in it?

If that's the case, it's a 1/2" npt tap. No need to drill, it is perfect for it.
Tap it and then out in a cap or whatever you want to do.

I did this and put in a pressure gauge for my lift pump.

Liquid-filled pressure gauge to keep the vibrations from beating it to death.

You can also do what towcat told me to do and just use a good blob of JB Weld to "fix" it. Just unplug the heater, apply goop, and shape the goop so it doesn't look too terrible. 3 years down the road and no leaks!
