fuel filter

im replacing the fuel filter on my 97 stroke and the new filter is loose and will rock when attache to the cap this is a first time filter change for me also the beveled gasket is too loose and i have a filter to cap seal that i have no replacement for help what to do this is my first diesel and am clueless

have it fixed gasket was to bvig and would either pinch or roll and leak fuel. got a new puralator came w cap gasket an filter worked perfect so far
