****SOLD****

haven't had this truck long enough to learn too much about it. Replaced the thermostat an refilled with fleetcharge to correct a random spike in temperature i was getting, haven't gotten it since. stays right around 180-190), replaced fuel filter, two new batteries, and injector install kit. glow plug setup has been upgraded to the 7.3 style by PO. I've taken it through town to haul wood and car parts, and it made a few hour trip to get here no sweat. It does take a little bit to get it started when it's cold but once it's warmed up it starts on first crank. Transmission and engine rebuilt by international diesel of nashville tn. PO said it had some sort of switch somewhere for "tow/haul mode" and "economy mode" for the transmission, haven't found it so idk what that's about. I have to use 4x4 just to get onto my property so i know it works like a charm. interior is a little worn, has a floppy steering wheel, windshield has a crack in it like all my fords ever had (ugh) Starts runs and goes. I'd replace the glowplugs and CDR and tires next if i was keeping it, other than that, just drive it.

$3500, hour south of Nashville.

I lost out on that job :( I flew out to North Dakota and checked out some places and my god the stories I could tell you. Let's just say i didn't find proper housing in time and couldn't accept the job offer. Another company else where offered me a position. So that left me with two trucks and a car and a butt load of stuff to move. The car ain't worth crap, but runs awesome and i daily drive it as it is. My best bet to get me cash to move with were the two trucks. The new company is reimbursing me for a moving crew, which is nice but i need that money up front. I played with every option, and it's best for me to turn the trucks over to someoone else so i can afford the up front costs, then afford a deposit on a place etc. My life is never slow paced or heading in any particular direction, it's tough to keep up with me and sometimes it means starting over with the toys quite often.

I'm just really curious about the transmission and its different operating modes. Must either be a computer controlled tranny, or a C6 sourced from area 51.

lol, i didnt ask too much about it when i bought it because i figured id figure it out. But even his 12yr old daughter was like "dont forget to show him that switch!" so it exists. just don't know where. Guy said it drags out the shift points longer, and shifts really hard. Makes sense, but never heard of it before with these transmissions

yeap! I get most of the money reimbursed by my new company, but I still need to foot it up front, and wanted to make the move as light as possible. Sold off all my other toys too, the four wheelers, motorcycles, etc. Sad, but i'll collect more again. I recieved a LOT of response for my crew cab, a lot more than I expected. But nobody bid yet. I'm hopeful though
