Does anyone have the part number for the front axle driver and passenger side brake dust shield? Mine are rotting away and I want to replace them when I do brakes later.
Thanks in advance.

Mine are gone too. Seems to me that I looked for some opinions on replacing them and the consensus was "meh". I don't have any on mine anymore!

Years ago, mine rusted off and I continued to drive without them till I experienced one hellava scare on a rainy day! Stopping distance was mmore than doubled with wet rotors. I searched for and finally found FORD replacement dust shields for my F350 (they were hard to find and rather expensive if I remember correctly). F250 shields are probably easier to find and less expensive. Try NAPA.

Thanks guys. I'll call napa tomorrow or Sunday to see if they stock them. I've read about other people running without them but would prefer to keep them on if possible. Worst case, I'll call the dealer and have them research it.

dana 60 or 50? The dana 60 ones can be had but are expensive. Not sure about the d50 ones. They are not exactly the same because of the order they go on the axle.

Dana 50. Local napa has again proven useless. Will call the dealer on Monday.

Back in my four wheeling days we called dust shields rock catchers, because that's what they always seemed to do. Almost everyone ran without them.

To those running without them, have you noticed any decrease in braking effectiveness in wet conditions? The dealer wants $75/side for the dust shield.
