Hello, was searching the net for info on fuel heater leaks, stumbled upon this site then this thread:
http://http://www.oilburners.net/forums/showthread.php?46363-Fuel-heater-O-ring-replacement
which answered 98% of my questions.

Thanks to Exekiel69 the guy who made the thread/tech article. I called my local International Stealership today and ordered 3 of those O rings like he did and they are $4.00 each plus tax. Coming from Atlanta and should be here on Wednesday.

I've also found some other useful info here. What a great site this is. ;Sweet

Here is a You-tube video I made of our truck last year. The video has 1,6?? views and a few likes but no comments yet so feel free to do so.

I'm testing glow plugs tomorrow and will be replacing the bad ones with OEMs.

Beautiful truck. I like the red.
Some will stone you for the "***** red," not me. I like em.

In all truthfulness, a better fix for the fuel heater is deleting it and plugging the hole.

That is one heck of a clean truck. One of the best I have seen. I'm also jealous of all the shop space you must have!

Looks just like mine, except mine is the Custom model. Cheapy but it does have working air. Cardinal red it's called. I'm going to paint mine IH red next summer. After I paint the house, says the wife. My 8 yr. old grand daughter asked. "what's this?" She had never seen hand crank windows before. It's an old countu truck that never sat outside & was very well maintained. I lucked out.
Great forum here. I've learned a lot. Thanks to all!

Thank you all for the replies and compliments. Even though blue is my favorite color I'm fond of the "*****-red" LOL too, it's my second fav.

I've been a cheap skate and have put off installing a lift in the shop for 10.5 years but I hope to get it done this year, and a industrial lift at that so I can get Big Red here as we call it and anything bigger on it, and up in the air if needed. I'm too old to be wollering on the ground.

I miss crank windows and simpler things. I found a clean, nice custom at a stealership on line a few years back and I think they were asking over $8 grand if memory serves me correct. I know if we sold this one we'd want more.
