guy called me with an 88 f250 rearend he is coming my way in a week and could bring it closer to me......... he is over 150 miles away. Question is this........will it being a Dana 60 be the same one? or will the spring support brackets need to be removed and rewelded? Anyone know what years will direct bolt to a 83? Thanks
Scott
#2 rearend in less than a year! this is getting old!

oh yea my trk has a 85 f-350 frame, 85 f-350 dana 50 ttb frt end,89 f250 diesel frt springs, 85 f-350 rear springs, 92 f-250 sterling 10.25 rear axle, the body on my trk is an 92 f-250 so to use the speedo i needed the rearend,(rather have the 10.25 then the factory dana60 anyways) a 92 460 shortblock, 76 460 heads (carb engine now) 78 bronco c6 auto, 84 f-250 208 transfer case, i guess what im trying to say is ford WILL interchange a lot of parts, and you shouldnt have any problems switching rearends, unless its out of a cab and chassis trk, which if its an f-250 i wouldnt think that would be an issue, also i have an 89 f-250 diesel and it also has a 10.25 sterling axle in it. might want to make sure that is what he is bringing you, cause if it has a speed sensor in the top its the sterling

what do you haul to make it do that? my trk has 37" tires and i like the burnouts but it hasnt gave me a minutes trouble (but i did rebuild it though) anyways if it did that to a dana 70 why not go with one out of a 1 1/2 of even a five ton. i know it would be overkill but at least you know you wouldnt break it
