Started on a hill once and ended up just dumping the clutch then feathering the gas pedal till I could get the clutch to catch.i wouldn't hesitate taking on the mobile home with a Fsuperduty with 5.13 gears. anything else and yes, you are going to kill the clutch.
I had wanted to use my 250. It has 3.55's and I was going to tow in low range, but the trailer has the axles waaaay far to the rear so it had more than a ton of tongue weight. The dually at least held that ok, but the 4.10's didn't cut it.
You can see in the picture the ratchet strap used to keep the dump bed from raising from the tongue weight.
All part of a good redneck weekend.
