That engine is just a bit smaller than a 3208 cat, same reliability just early version. Used to see them in garbage trucks a lot.

Ch3vy parts

think you start off with ch3vy front Dana 70 disc system if my memory serves correctly. Cadi11ac Eld0rad0 calipers have a built in emergency brakes.

That's one sweet rig. Nebraska, I don't know about the D70, but here are some of my bookmarks about rear discs.

I'm gonna give the second link down a shot on my Sterling. Heading out to strip the rotors, calipers and brackets off a '78 F-250 tomorrow... we'll see how it works out.

Ranger, I checked out that 2nd post - looks great, but will it work on a Sterling? It says for a D-60. Will there be a difference in the mounts?

I found the dimensions for the backing plates on the D60s and 10.25s last night. They're very close, so I think it has a good chance of working. The center hole on the caliper bracket is large enough to clear the 10.25's spindle, in theory.

Gonna head out and take a look right now! Will report findings...
