Well i finally got one. I had to drive a little ways to get it. It is a 84 f-350, XLT, 4WD, manual trans. Actually its in pretty good shape. It has brand new wheels and tires not even 50 miles on them. Warn 8000 winch works great too. I think i stole it for 750 bucks. The PO has a stack of reciepts since 1988 it has 183K on it. Tell me what you think!

This is on bad rust spot. The PO said it is the original paint so we will see when i start the body work.

It looks like it may have been a special order. It looks like it has an XLT or better trim package with the Woodgrain interior trim and the power windows and locks, but no A/C.

I like the truck, have always liked the "slant nose" (80-86) bosy style. That was the first truck I drove. I would look under the floormat at the cab floor, they tend to go also. It looks good, I wouldn't mind having it myself..... and for 750 not bad at all.

Yeah it was a special order the built sheet is still in the glove box in a ziploc. It was purchased in Heely Alaska. The PO moved to Texas about 10 years ago and put maybe 20k on it since then. So where is a good place to get parts from?

Well, I guess if it was bought in Alaska, then it didn't need A/C. I would look at LMC, they do pretty good for the older trucks. Sometimes the members on here post links to parts, or have some for sale.

Take a look int he marketplace and I believe Kenneth (k_williams1982) and gonecrazyi is parting out a "slant nose" 83-86 and mau have what you need. Stuff comes up all the time, just keep a lookout.

Yes you did indeed steal it. Looks like the PO was not kind to the parking brake system. That's a common failure.... when the owner lets the parking brake cables rust up, and then just keeps pressing harder and harder until the steel under the dash rips.

great deal the winch and the front axle are worth more than that! i'd sell those wheels and get a plain set of wagon wheels and like 35" rubber, you'll prob have money left over! LOL

i will be sure to keep a look out for a idi getting parted out. So it looks like ive get a little rust spot on the pass. side cab corner just a pin hole. I do have a buyer for the wheels and tires. it will pretty much pay for the cost of the truck. So is there a way to fix the E-brake cable or just have to build a support and weld a bunge in for the e-brake Assembely? on thought on this?

I was going to say that! He bought a winch, and got a truck for free!

Congratulations! I just got my first one home to IN from Florida tonight. Got some pics but I got to get some sleep so that I can go to work tomorrow. I'll post them later. I like it a lot! :)
