Fall a time for tires...

I am getting ready for a new set of shoes for my truck and was wondering what you guys ran.
I did some old thread searching and found it was like oil. Everyone had a preference. So I am curious to se your guys preference.
For me it will me mostly highway driving with a fair amount of dirt/gravel roads and some mountain some field driving. Though mostly the truck sits. I am looking at all terrains and I have been looking at 285/75r16, 305/70r16, and 315/75r16. Thoughts. I know thinner tires do better in snow but finding tall thin tires gets expensive quick and I like the way the 285s I have now look... Might even look better bigger.

Should've been able to find some recent tire talk.
I'm still liking my Cooper discoverer at3's.

There was a sale recentely at tire rack, i purchased 265/5-16 BFG KO2s for around $165 each load range E. I had to run 2" wheel adapters in the back to keep the sidewalls from touching. BFG KO2s are great, before them i installed Duratracs on everything i had that was 4wd, even my wifes Touareg. They had a little bid of road noise but i dont hear the KO2s at all. The Duratracs have the best snow traction.
