Goofyexponent
Mentally Unstable..
Ok, I've decided to scrap my dually project. With the price of gasoline these days I will never be able to feed a big block stroker V8 and put the insurance on the truck. Plus the construction industry is about shot around here this year, and driving a dump truck 40 hours a week just ain't cutting it.
I have a full width dually pickup rearend that I'm going to put under my F250
. It has 4.11's in it and, my truck has factory 3.54's under it now. I don't know if I want to keep the 4.11's or change out the gears back to 3.54's . The truck hardly EVER sees towing. I use the truck for travelling back and forth to work, and because I feel safer in the 4x4 in the wintertime (rather than our plastic 2004 Grand Am.) I used to plow with it, but I don't to plow with it anymore.
I have the fender flares, 6 rims, good U-bolts and some other odds and ends if I need them.
What I don't have is the dually adapters that backspace the front axle to run the dually rims up front.
I think my factory driveshaft will work because the housings are the same legnth (driveshaft flange to steady bearing distance). The brakes are shot on the dually axle and I want to replace EVERYTHING with new before I bolt it on (wheel cylinders, drums, shoes, springs and cables). Can you guys think of anything else I might nees before I tear the truck apart.

...Who wouldn't want to plow snow with somebody else's big block powered F350 4x4...
