Hey everyone
I will most likely be swapping engines from an 88 f250 2wd to an almost cherry 89 f250 4wd.. Only real reason is because 4wd season is fast approaching. The 4wd has an external head gasket leak, but otherwise runs good. Ill try to post pictures if I can figure it out. Been lurking awhile, figured I'd say something.

I am contemplating another idea....

1988 ford f250 2wd runs and drives...

1989 f250 4wd... Head gasket seeps on passenger bank, right behind t-stat housing... For sure head gasket... Confirmed....

Anyway... It may be less work to just do the head gaskets... Then I wouldn't have an engineless truck sitting on the backburner...

My concern is cracked cyl head.. But I also have another engine with a toast cam... But good heads...

Any insight?

The machine shops here cant pressure test... The engine with the gasket failure likely has lower miles, I swapped the 2wd engine roughly a year ago
