Engine color??

I am almost finished putting the engine back together, and would like to paint it before I put it in. Any suggestions or ides?

I use New ford gray, it is the closest to IH there is IMO.

purple, make it purple jk it depends what color your truck is i was never a fan of IH gray but IH red is a great color

I painted mine the same color as the body on Goldie. Looks good till it got dirty.

yea i wish i could down mine long enough to do a rebuild and paint it up all purdy like. I've got a brass freeze plug wheeping a tiny bit, and i think one of my head gaskets is wheeping a little oil down the back. the IH red idea i got from jons scout

A red engine looks great in a black truck. For other colors, I'd go with gray.

All kidding aside, I do like the blue that you have been using. I think on a truck that has been redone, a uniform color is cool...., but I kinda like the purple that Chris has decided to use...... I think that will be cool in the all black truck..........

If it isn't red..... Leave it in the Shed! I have some of that color floating around on some stuff, and a little Federal Yellow and IH 903 White.

Not you too. Geesh! You must have been talking to the extreme lawn mower again.

So I've got 4 different colored blue trucks in my yard right now.

I am changing the engine colors for one of the trucks but that is for another day.

I am actually happy with the body paint holding up on the motor tho. It's done pretty well cosidering the heat it has seen.

I painted mine with rebuilder's cast iron paint. To me, it looks better than boring Ford gray.

That it does indeed. Which is why my whole truck is black, even when I leave oily fingerprints on it you can't see 'em

just painted mine with ford blue and do the accesories in ford grey and i got a ford grey psd turbo thats going on my blue engine

ford blue would be cool, the PO painted mine WVU colors gold and blue it looks good but its not my thing. if i ever have it out ill change it.
