All depends on witch emission gizmo you want to take off. There are to many of them. Take for instance the EGR valve and cooler. I'm taking mine off. Truck will run better.

I'm not very familiar with this engines I'm trying to learn but I read about this emission sensors that cause more trouble than help (Yes the egr as well) and since in MD there is no emission test for diesels I thought what the heck I'll give it a try but wanted to ask the experts first and see if it is worth it.

Thank You.

The EGR is the one you want to eliminate then, get under the hood and just unplug it. You will probably get a SES light but it will let you test the operation of the engine/truck without the EGR in service.
