Electrical problem

I am working on an o1 f250 diesel that has a problem with the wireing harness for the tail lights goimg on and off and going dim.You can move the wires and the problem will stop. Any ideas or any recalls?

Sounds to me like you have a ground issue somewhere in the harness.

Yup, don't stop moving the wires.
Seriously, I agree with 95_Stroker. My truck has a two foot extension which connects a circular plug truckside to a flat plug trailerside. If yours is similar, remove the extension and test the round male truckside plug.Check out this link.
