does anyone know if an E4OD from a 7.3 idi would work on a powerstroke?

It should, the tc is different, and I believe the selonoid packs are different based upon year., something with the resistance in them

I know that some of the newer transmissions had an extra sensor in the bellhousing....
If all the sensors are there that you need for the PSD app, then you need to change out the solenoid pack, torque converter and MLPS and you should be good to go.
However there were some "upgrades" over the years, if you have an original IDI transmission that was never remanned with the upgrades, it may not handle the significantly higher power of the PSD well.
