The carrier bearings go out often. Replace it before it goes out completely. I had one go out in a snow storm. Roads were wet muddy frozen snowy nasty. Had to drive 10miles back home at high idle. Was not fun.

Replace it ASAP. i had one that bad in morning. drove a couple hundred miles from Wyoming to Colorado and by then, it was banging if the rhythm was off. thankfully it didn't hurt anything. had a shop replace the carrier bearing and all was good.

Better check the U-Joints as well. You have to remove the
DL anyway, not that hard to do them.
I used the HF Ball Joint Press in my Vice to push the caps off and on. If you never done them, lots of good U-Tube Videos.

Here is one I saved in my U-Joint Folder.

Here is a vid on the carrier bearing.
2:30 min into the video, shows how to pull the Bearing off.
He is using a HF Gear Puller.
I have one but used just 2 long pieces of all thread instead the way he did it, attaching the all thread into the kits Bolts etc...

Often it's the rubber mount donut that shrinks, and the bearing/shaft is left to hop around.

If you buy the new bearing assembly, you may be able to swap the rubber alone easier that pressing a bearing off/on.

That said, if it's an old tired bearing, change the whole thing.

Dude, don't drive your truck until this is fixed.

And go the distance with u joints and carrier bearing while it's out.

Yea just pound off the old bearing it’s pretty easy. No special tools required and I would agree do the u joints. Cheap and super easy. Again a hammer is about the old tool you need to remove old caps.
