I will grab one of mine and peek a boo at it...jjst scored a cabinet sandblaster so can media blas once thoroghly cleaned in solvent tank and preassure washer.....just media blast outside btw

Thanks, Al. I hit the outside of the headers with my soda blaster (which is less aggressive than I had hoped) and cleaned up inside the rim with some very fine wet/dry paper. The corrosion was very bad (the whole dis-similar metals thing going on) and I think the pits are deep enough that I don't want to risk having a leak after install.

Here are pictures of the 1994 turbo IDI cooler i just pulled apart. It had 168k i dont believe its ever been rebuilt. A brass wire wheel would clean up the small outter corrosion and seal just fine. Putting inside on the inside oring seat is usually where ive seen the most pitting because the copper tubes are so close to the aluminum there.

Here are a couple pics of the slightly pitted PSD cooler i just did after cleaning. With the Boss 820 lube 1,000 miles its been leak free
